1. Our principles
Three rules guide every data decision we make:
- Collect as little as possible. If we don't need it to ship a feature, we don't ask for it.
- Keep it on the device where we can. Your bookmarks, your playlists, your saved articles — those live on your phone, not our server.
- Be straightforward. Everything below is written the way we'd write it for a friend, not a lawyer.
2. What we collect
It depends on the app, but the full list across Rajputx is short:
Automatically collected (all apps)
- Anonymous crash reports and performance data — so we can fix bugs. No personally identifiable information attached.
- Basic device info — OS version, app version, country code (not a precise location). Used to route the right features and localisation.
Only if you opt in
- Email address — if you sign up for the occasional newsletter or contact support.
- Saved content — bookmarks, playlists, etc. Stored locally on your device by default. If you turn on cloud sync (not yet available; planned), we'll encrypt it in transit and at rest.
Per-app specifics
- NewsStand: Reading history stays on your device. Feed selections are synced anonymously when you add custom RSS URLs.
- YogaCare: Session history and progress live on your device. Health/fitness data is never shared with third parties.
- Ringtones for Android: Requires storage permission to set a ringtone — that's it. No background data collection.
3. Why we collect it
Only for these reasons:
- To make the apps work (sync, feature delivery).
- To fix crashes and improve performance.
- To respond when you contact support.
- To comply with the law when we must.
4. What we don't do
Worth stating plainly:
- We don't sell your data. Ever.
- We don't hand your data to data brokers.
- We don't build behavioural profiles of you ourselves.
- We don't track your location unless a feature explicitly asks for it (none currently do).
- We don't read the content of what you save, sync, or write.
- Note: some of our apps show Google Ads. Google may use its own signals, processed on Google's servers, to serve those ads — see Google's ad policies for details.
5. Where data lives
Almost everything stays on your device. The small amount of server-side data we hold — anonymous analytics, crash reports, newsletter emails if you signed up — is stored with reputable infrastructure providers in encrypted form, in data centres that meet industry-standard security practices (ISO 27001 and SOC 2).
6. Third-party services
We use a minimal set of third-party tools, each with their own privacy terms:
- Google Play Services — required for app distribution and crash reporting on Android.
- A privacy-first analytics provider — anonymous event counts only.
- Google AdMob — used in some of our apps to show ads. Ad serving happens on Google's servers using Google's own signals; we don't receive your personal data from this process.
We don't embed our own behavioural-tracking SDKs, social tracking pixels, or fingerprinting libraries in any Rajputx app.
7. Children
Our apps are intended for general audiences. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we'll delete it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (GDPR in the EU, CCPA in California, DPDP in India, and similar laws elsewhere), you have rights including:
- Access — ask us what personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — have it corrected if it's wrong.
- Deletion — have it deleted.
- Portability — get a copy in a standard format.
- Objection — object to certain processing.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@rajputx.com. We'll respond within 30 days. We won't charge you for it and we won't make you jump through hoops.
9. Retention
We keep data only as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it:
- Crash reports: automatically purged after 90 days.
- Newsletter emails: until you unsubscribe.
- Support conversations: up to 2 years after the last message, then deleted.
- On-device data: as long as the app is installed — it's gone the moment you uninstall.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date. For meaningful changes, we'll give notice in-app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
11. Contact
Privacy questions, data requests, or a concern about something in this policy — all go to the same inbox, and a human writes back.
